2. Weight Gain and Psychological Recovery in Patients with Atypical Anorexia Nervosa: Findings from the Study of Refeeding to Optimize iNpatient Gains (StRONG)

Patients with Atypical Anorexia Nervosa (AAN) have all the features of (AN) but are normal or above weight. Limited data on course and outcome exist in AAN. Purpose: To compare weight gain psychological recovery patients AAN AN. This is a secondary analysis from Study Refeeding to Optimize Inpatient Gains (StRONG) trial, multicenter randomized controlled trial comparing higher-calorie refeeding (HCR) versus lower-calorie (LCR) 120 adolescent young adults hospitalized medical instability AN Weight history was collected upon enrollment. Weight, vital signs, Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q) were obtained at admission 1, 3, 6, 12m after discharge.
